Resource Abundance: Long-term policies that protect water, energy, and recreational opportunities.
-
Incredible Experiences: Commercial services and amenities that maintain Lake Powell as a world-class destination.
-
Strong Community: A united voice for Colorado River Basin users, supported by active grassroots and professional media engagement.

About the Blue Ribbon Coalition
The BlueRibbon Coalition has been fighting to keep public lands and waters open for recreation since 1987. The organization was part of the fight to keep personal watercraft allowed at Lake Powell in the early 2000s. In recent years, they have built one of the most extensive grassroots networks of advocates for Lake Powell through their effort to influence the Bureau of Reclamation's operating guidelines that affect lake levels for Lake Powell and Lake Mead. They have extensive experience influencing federal policy through the courts, through legislation, and through advocacy to federal agencies. BlueRibbon Coalition’s policy director, Simone Griffin, is a member of the Southeast Advisory Council for the Colorado River Authority of Utah, where she advocates for the recreation users of Lake Powell.
